Smith is doing things that only a couple of other Yuma girls have done since the wrestling program was constructed 6 years ago. She just achieved her 100th career win in late December and is looking to qualify for the State Tournament for the 4th consecutive time. Smith was influenced to join the wrestling team as a freshman by some of the upperclassmen and wants to do the same for the younger girls in the Yuma area, stating that the wrestling team is more like a “family” than anything else.
