National Weather Service - *FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 pm WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH 8 am (MDT) THURSDAY MORNING for portions of east central, north central, and northeast Colorado, as well as portions of northwest and west central Kansas, and southwest Nebraska.
This includes Larimer, Weld, Boulder, Jefferson, Broomfield, Douglas, Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Elbert, Morgan, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, Phillips, Yuma, Kit Carson, Cheyenne, CO, Cheyenne, KS, Rawlins, Decatur, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley, Wichita, Dundy, Hitchcock, and Red Willow Counties in the tri state area.
Watch for sub-freezing temperatures as low as 22-25 degrees possible.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing, insulate, drain, or allow them to drip slowly. Drain in-ground sprinkler systems and cover above-ground pipes. *Stay tuned to the latest weather forecasts for updates.
*WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM TUESDAY TO 3 PM (MDT) WEDNESDAY for Weld, Morgan, Kit Carson, Cheyenne, Yuma, and Washington counties in Colorado, as well as Cheyenne-KS, Sherman, Wallace, Greeley and Dundy Counties in Kansas and Nebraska.,
Watch for wet snow expected—total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches.
Plan for slippery road conditions, especially late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Slow down and use caution while traveling. I-70 on the eastern plains will have slow travel conditions.
