The National Weather Service (NWS) has issue an AIR QUALITY HEALTH ADVISORY FOR BLOWING DUST FROM 10 AM FRIDAY UNTIL 5 PM FRIDAY.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for Blowing Dust.
This for Morgan, Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips, Washington, Yuma, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Cheyenne, and eastern Weld Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Fort Morgan, Sterling, Julesburg, Holyoke, Akron, Wray, Burlington, Limon, and Cheyenne Wells.
Very strong winds will create areas of blowing dust across the advisory area. The threat for blowing dust will taper off during the late afternoon hours.
*HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If significant blowing dust is present and reducing visibility to less than 10 miles across a wide area, People with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children in the affected area should reduce prolonged or heavy indoor and outdoor exertion.
