Structure fire near Fort Morgan on Monday

Monday morning, December 15, around 7 a.m., first responders received a call about a structure fire near Highway 144 and CR-15, north of Fort Morgan. The Morgan County Communications Center had crews from multiple agencies responding, along with local law enforcement.

The fire flared up a couple of times, so back-up units and a tanker truck were called to the scene, as Highway 144 had a lot of traffic around the area.

The flames, especially the smoke, could be seen from miles around as the sun rose. The fire was finally brought under control after 8 am, with no injuries reported, and a couple of animals were saved. No other details are available.
