In a press release from the Sterling Police Department, on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, at approximately 9:54 pm, Sterling Police Officers responded to the 300 block of Chestnut St, at Cattleya Floral, in reference to a traffic crash where a vehicle had driven through the front doors and came to rest inside the building, causing extensive damage.

Upon arrival and after investigation, it was determined that two vehicles were street racing, traveling eastbound in the 400 block of E. Chestnut. The vehicle then continued east across the westbound lanes of Chestnut St. and into the Cattleya Floral/Steele Terrain building. Damien and his passenger both sustained injuries but were released.

The driver of the second vehicle, 20-year-old Corey St. Laurent of Sterling, did not crash but remained on scene. Fortunately, there were no injuries to any innocent bystanders.

Damien Curtis was released and transported to the Logan County jail on 10 separate charges, including DUI, Reckless driving & endangerment, and being uninsured.

Corey St. Laurent, the driver of the vehicle that did not crash, received 5 violations, including reckless driving and minor possession of alcohol.
