With over 3 decades of experience as Deputy City Manager for Greenwood Village, John Sheldon was unanimously approved to be the next City Manager for the City of Sterling. At their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 24th, the Sterling City Council voted to extend an employment agreement to Mr. Sheldon, complete with a compensation package which includes a salary, automobile allowance, insurance benefits, and more.

John Sheldon attended the city council meeting, as Mayor Foos was absent, so Mayor Pro Tem Luke Janes welcomed Sheldon and his wife to Sterling. Sheldon’s background also includes economic development, H.R., I.T., and oversight of large capital improvement projects, among others.

According to the agreement, his first day will be Monday, July 28th.
