Sterling Fire Crews Extinguish Mobile Home Fire

Sterling Fire Department -
At 11 PM Wednesday, Station 1 and Sterling cars responded to the 1100 block of Platte Street for a reported structure fire. SPD cars arriving on scene reported smoke coming out of the skirting and in the hallway of the home. Engine 12 arrived and stretched a line to the east side of the trailer home. Crews pulled back the skirting to expose a fire on the underside of the trailer.
A primary search was completed, and no one was found in the home. Crews overhauled the underside and floor of the trailer before clearing.
