On Tuesday, January 27, at 5:13 pm, the Sterling Fire Department, along with officers from the Sterling Police Department, responded to a garage on fire in the alley in the 600 block of North 4th Street in Sterling.
When fire units arrived on the scene, they quickly isolated the access door to limit the fire's growth. As a line was deployed, crews simultaneously entered through the main door to search for possible victims, as the garage was found to be in use as a living space.
