Sidney Regional Medical Center CEO Awarded 2024 Grassroots Champion

Jason Petik, Sidney Regional Medical Center’s CEO, was awarded the 2024 AHA Grassroots Champion Award at the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) Advocacy Day. The American Hospital Association (AHA) Grassroots Champion Award was created to recognize hospital leaders who most effectively educate elected officials on both the national and state level on how major issues affect hospitals’ vital role in the community, who have done an exemplary job in broadening the base of community support for their hospital, and who are tireless advocates for hospitals and their patients. Annually, one individual from each state is recognized as a “Grassroots Champion” by the AHA in consultation with state hospital associations. We are incredibly honored to have a CEO who efficiently educates officials, provides strong community support for SRMC, and advocates for our organization.
