The Colorado Corn Promotion Council has recently announced its new leadership team for the coming year. Matt Mulch of Burlington has been elected president of the council with Jessica Brophy of Yuma elected vice president and treasurer and Wayne Brew of Delta elected secretary. This is Mulch’s first term as president; he served as Secretary last year. Brophy and Brew are new to the leadership team. All three have served on the CCPC Board of Directors before. The CCPC’s strategic plan and wider engagement are high on Mulch’s agenda in the coming year. “My goals for the next year are to continue the work on our strategic plan and continue to help our partners in the livestock and fuel industries utilizing corn,” he said. “I hope to continue to get more producer involvement on our action teams and use the teams to broaden our engagement with the corn producers of Colorado. The council also welcomed two new directors to the board. The Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg recently appointed Kyle May of Stratton and Stratton Kraft of Fort Morgan, joining five others on the board. The other board members are Alex Eckhardt of La Salle and Jeremy Fix of Wray.
