HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 8am FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH 8pm FRIDAY EVENING. For Weld, Morgan, Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, and Phillips Counties in Colorado. Northwest winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.


HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10am FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH 8pm FRIDAY EVENING. Northwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible. This affects portions of east central and northeast Colorado, northwest and west central Kansas, and southwest Nebraska. Including Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne-Rawlins-Sherman-Thomas-Wallace-Logan-Greeley-Wichita & Dundy Counties in Colorado and the tri-state area.


** RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MDT /NOON CDT/THIS MORNING TO 9 PM MDT /10 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING. Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne-Rawlins-Decatur-Norton-Sherman-Thomas-Sheridan-Graham-Wallace-Logan-Gove-Greeley-Wichita-Dundy-Hitchcock & Red Willow Counties in Colorado and the tri-state area. WINDS out of the south at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY is as low as 11 percent.


**Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Avoid driving on dry grass or brush. Maintain vehicle brakes and tires and secure tow chains to avoid dragging. Never toss lit cigarettes onto the ground. AVOID ANY OUTDOOR BURNING!
