Law enforcement recovers stolen equipment in Lincoln & El Paso Counties - five apprehended

PRESS RELEASE Posting: Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office - Following a lengthy joint investigation involving stolen property in both Lincoln County and El Paso County, law enforcement officers successfully recovered multiple pieces of stolen equipment and apprehended five individuals in the past few days.

As part of this investigation, search warrants were executed at two separate properties. Evidence recovered from both locations included stolen property connected to numerous ongoing investigations. As a result of the operation, five subjects were taken into custody on various on-site criminal charges as well as outstanding warrants. All recovered property has since been returned to its rightful owner.

This case highlights the importance of interagency cooperation and the commitment of law enforcement to holding offenders accountable while returning stolen property to victims.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend a special thank you to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance, professionalism, and partnership throughout this investigation. Their collaborative efforts were instrumental in the successful outcome of this case.

Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation remains active and related criminal proceedings continue. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, which we look forward to doing.
