Wray Basketball played in the Topside Tipoff tournament in Goodland, KS over the weekend. Both teams finished the tournament 1-2, with the girls finishing in 7th place with losses to Goodland 55-30 and McCook 49-38 and wrapping up with a win over Ulysses 43-22. The boys finished in 6th place with a loss to Goodland 75-44, a win over Burlington 62-57, and a loss to Colby 75-58. Wray Basketball will take on Chase County on Friday.
Wray Boys Wrestling was in a tournament in Colby, KS on Friday and Saturday. The team finished in 3rd place in their pool duals with wins over Phillipsburg 48-27, Wichita West 46-24, and Lawrence 44-18, and losses to Hutchinson 52-25 and Lexington 42-36. They then finished in 2nd place in their next round of duals, with a win over McPherson 48-29 and a loss to Hays 54-24. Wray Boys Wrestling will wrestle in a dual with Chatfield on Friday and then in the Bob Smith Invitational on Saturday.
Wray Girls Wrestling will wrestle in a tournament in McCook, NE on Thursday, and then in the Marilyn Smith Invitational on Saturday.
