Wray Football dominated Burlington 53-6 on Friday. The game was scoreless after the first quarter, but Wray was finally able to solve a tough Burlington defense to take a 27-0 lead at halftime, and eventually forcing a running clock in the 3rd quarter. Samuel Meisner dazzled again with 109 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, while Austin Collins had a well rounded game with 113 total yards with a touchdown and 2 interceptions. Wray Football will play their final game of the regular season on Friday against Wiggins.
Wray Volleyball defeated Burlington 3-2 on Friday. All 5 sets were close, with Burlington taking the first 2 25-23 and 25-21 as Wray then took the next 3 sets 25-22, 25-23, and 15-12 to complete the comeback win. Dori Saffer led the way with 17 kills, while Sydnee Cheek finished with 11. Wray Volleyball has now won 5 games in a row, and will take on Caliche tomorrow.
The Cross Country regional tournament was on Friday. Addi Jones finished in 9th place, and will represent Wray in the state meet on Saturday.
