KNEC Sports Update 10/9/23

The Yuma Outlaws football team had a huge win in their homecoming game on Friday night where they beat Burlington 38-12. Quarterback Jonathan Thompson rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns and running back Silas Baucke rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns. The Outlaws improve to 3-3 and will take on Wray at home on Friday.

Yuma Volleyball got two wins this weekend. They beat Burlington 3-2 on Friday and defeated Byers 3-1 on Saturday. The Outlaws are now 10-8 on the season.They will play Wray on Friday.'

Yuma County softball finished the regular season 11-11 and won the 3A Lower Platte League! They will take on #7 Thomas Jefferson in the regional playoffs this weekend. Final day and time is currently TBD.
