Frederick scored 18 of their 30 points in the second half to get past Fort Morgan (30-19) on Friday night. The Mustangs head into their bye week at (0-5) and turn their focus to their league opener at Lincoln a week from Saturday at 2pm.
Other results from Friday, Rifle forced four Brush turnovers in a (28-14) home win over the Diggers, and Weldon Valley lost at Prairie in a final of (57-6). Lady Warriors volleyball did start the day with a (3 sets to 1) win over the Mustangs after a tough three set loss to Merino on Thursday.
And Brush softball scored 5 runs in the bottom of the first, but were held scoreless for the remainder of the game in a (7-5) loss to University on Saturday. The Lady Diggers travel to the Valley Vikings tomorrow at 4pm on Hometown Radio KFTM.
