Frederick scored 18 of their 30 points in the second half to get past Fort Morgan (30-19) on Friday night. The Mustangs head into their bye week at (0-5) and turn their focus to their league opener at Lincoln a week from Saturday at 2pm.
Other results from Friday, Rifle forced four Brush turnovers in a (28-14) home win over the Diggers, and Weldon Valley lost at Prairie in a final of (57-6). Lady Warriors volleyball did start the day with a (3 sets to 1) win over the Mustangs after a tough three set loss to Merino on Thursday.
And Brush softball scored 5 runs in the bottom of the first, but were held scoreless for the remainder of the game in a (7-5) loss to University on Saturday. The Lady Diggers travel to the Valley Vikings tomorrow at 4pm on Hometown Radio KFTM.
Fort Morgan volleyball is game two tomorrow night when they return home to host the Severance Silver Knights. Lady Mustangs volleyball follows Brush softball at 6:30pm on hometown Radio KFTM, 94.1 FM , and online at medialogicradio.com
