KFTM Sports Update 9/13/23

Ceci Chiaravalle struck out 14 Brush batters and allowed only four hits in a (6-2) home victory for Lyons yesterday afternoon. Avery LaFever pitched well in the loss and threw six innings, giving up 6 runs, three earned, on six hits with four strikeouts and three walks. The Lady Diggers are back at home tomorrow afternoon to host the Sterling Tigers. First pitch at 4pm on hometown radio KFTM.

Fort Morgan volleyball had their two match win streak snapped at home last night against Prospect Ridge in a final of (3 sets to 2). Fort Morgan is off until next Tuesday when they entertain Mountain View for their league opener. First serve at 6:30pm on Hometown radio KFTM.

In other volleyball finals, Wiggins won at Haxtun (3 sets to none), Weldon Valley picked up a road sweep at Caliche and Brush lost in three at Berthoud. The Lady Tigers entertain Platte Valley on Saturday at 10am, while Brush is home to the Broncos tomorrow night at 6:30pm, and the Warriors head to Briggsdale on Friday at 6pm.

There are two events on today's local schedule with Fort Morgan soccer at home to Prospect Ridge at 4:30pm and Lady Mustangs gymnastics travels to Mountain Range at 5:30pm.
