Fort Morgan basketball plays the second of three games this week tonight at home against the Mountain View Mountain Lions. Lady Mustangs tip at 6pm with the boys to follow at 7:30pm. No basketball tonight on KFTM, as we travel with the Fort Morgan wrestling team to Johnstown for a dual at Roosevelt. JV matches begin at 6pm, and varsity should start around 6:30pm on hometown radio KFTM, 94.1 FM, and online at medialogicradio.com.
The Brush wrestling team begins another long weekend, this time out on the western slope. Tonight they are in Rifle for a dual with the Bears at 5:30pm, then travel to Grand Junction for the start of the two day Warrior classic Friday at 9am.
Basketball starts early in Sterling for the Wiggins Tigers at the three day NJC holiday Tournament. The boys play Akron at 1:30pm while the Lady Tigers match up with the Haxtun Bulldogs at 7pm. And the Weldon Valley hoopers are in Otis this afternoon starting at 5pm.
Colorado All state football teams were announced yesterday on Chsaanow.com. Morgan County collected one-first team, one second team and six honorable mentions. The lone first team selection went to Wiggins senior lineman Americo Lorenzini, with Brush’s Cole Curtis earning the second team nod. Oscar Ramierz of Fort Morgan, Ritchie Bruno and Eric Rico of Brush, and Hunter Beach, Jacob Dorren and Stevie Linton from Wiggsins were all honorable mentions.
