KFTM Sports Update 12/13/23

Frederick got hot in the second quarter after a 25 minute delay due to a Golden Eagle injury and rolled to an (85-14) victory over the Lady Mustangs last night. Freshman Ava Taylor led Fort Morgan with six points, all in first half and Frederick’s Emma Rivera had a game high 14. The Lady Mustangs are home for the first time this season tomorrow night when they host Mountain View at 6pm

On the boys side, Frederick got 22 points from senior JJ Stronic as the Golden Eagles defeated Fort Morgan in game two (66-31). Stronic accounted for 5 of the team's ten made three pointers, while Frederick improved to (3-3) on the season. Aiden Garver had a team high 7 points for the Mustangs. Fort Morgan boys tip at 7:30 pm tomorrow night at home against Mountain View.

The Yuma Outlaws left town with a pair of wins last night in Brush. Yuma took down the Lady Diggers (53-28) and the boys won over Brush (72-38). The Lady Diggers play at Valley on Friday at 6pm before they team up with the boys to host the Mustangs on Saturday at 5:30pm and 7pm on hometown radio KFTM.

Couple more scores from last night, the Weldon Valley Lady Warriors fell at Arikaree (55-13) while the boys lost in a final of (70-20).  Weldon Valley plays at Otis tomorrow night starting at 4pm.
