The Wiggins boys cross country team that took 3rd at state over the weekend in Colorado Springs had three senior runners named to all state teams yesterday. Chase Bodine, who finished in 10th place, made the all state 2nd team, with fellow seniors Cade Green and Isaac Reed named as all state honorable mentions. Congratulations to all three runners, and the Tiger team on a great cross country season.
Stay in Wiggins, as Lady Tiger volleyball hosts a part of the 2A regional tournament on Saturday. Wiggins, the top overall seed, is home to Grand Valley and Denver Christian with coverage beginning at 10am on hometown radio KFTM, 94.1 FM and online at medialogicaradio.com.
Also on Saturday, there are a pair of playoff football games on the local schedule. Brush gets a rematch with the Bears in Rifle and Wiggins heads to Colorado Springs to take on Banning Lewis. Both games have a 1 o’clock kickoff.
Coming up tomorrow night, the Fort Morgan Mustangs have a football Friday all to themselves as they close out the regular season at the Lutheran Lions.
