Mountain View grabbed 15 offensive rebounds to snap a three game skid (64-57) over Fort Morgan last night in Loveland. Tyson Mares-Benz had a double double for the Mountain Lions with a game high 17 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore Brodan Jess had a career high 14 in extended minutes to lead the Mustangs. The boys are back in the 7:30pm time slot tonight as they host Severance on hometown radio KFTM, 94.1 FM, and online at medialogicradio.com.
In the girls game, Addison Branscum led three Mountain Lions in double figures with 27 in a (66-31) win over the Lady Mustangs. Freshman Charlotte Marquez also had a career high with 15 and was the only Fort Morgan player in double figures. The Lady Mustangs are up first tonight against Severance with tip at 6pm on KFTM.
It was also a tough night for Brush basketball as they were swept by the Highland Huskies. The Lady Diggers lost on the road (53-40), while the boys fell at home (85-43). Lady Diggers play at Loveland Classical tomorrow at 6:30pm, then again Friday against Wellington at home at 6pm, and the boys are on the road at 7pm.
Big wrestling dual last night in Eaton, where the third ranked Reds defeated top ranked Brush (39-34). Eaton won seven matches with six of those coming by pin fall. Brush is right back in the saddle tonight when they entertain the Berthoud Spartans at 6pm.
