KFTM Sports Update 01/26/24

Fort Morgan wrestlers had a strong showing against Thompson Valley last night, but came up short in a final of (45-22). The Mustangs got wins from Connor Derry, Christopher Juan, Austin Hall, Noah Aguirre and Carson Roth. There was a big crowd on hand as the Fort Morgan youth wrestling programs were recognized before the dual and concluded with Mustang autographs. Fort Morgan competes at the Mile High Classic at Thomas Jefferson starting tomorrow morning at 8:30am.

In other scores from last night: The Brush Lady Diggers lost to Strasburg (63-38) while the boys fell (68-31). Diggers next match up with the Highland Huskies on Tuesday night. 

Stay on the hardwood as tonight the Fort Morgan Mustangs host the Frederick Golden Eagles at Stan Lampe Gymnasium. Girls are at 6pm with the boys at 7:30pm on hometown radio KFTM, 94.1 FM, and online at medialogicradio.com

Other basketball has the Wiggins Tigers at Sedgwick County taking on the Cougars at 4pm and the Weldon Valley Warriors travel to Deer Trail for a 5pm tip. Lastly on the local schedule, both Brush and Wiggins grapplers begin the two day Patriot League tournament in Wellington at 2pm
