Gun Report at Fort Morgan Middle School Turns Out to be False: Students SAFE!

In a press release from the Morgan County School District RE-3, reposted by the Fort Morgan Police Department, Thursday, October 23, a student reported that another student may have had a gun at the Fort Morgan Middle School.

Administration and law enforcement were immediately notified. Both responded promptly and followed all safety and investigative procedures. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that there was no credibility to the report. At no time were students or staff in danger, and all students were safe throughout the day.

In a social media posting from the Fort Morgan Police Department, they stated: 'We are thankful for the dedicated staff of our school district and the strong relationship we have built that helps keep our kids safe!'
