Good News/Bad News with Colorado TABOR Refunds for 2025

Good news, Colorado taxpayers will receive a TABOR refund for 2025. The bad news is that you may only be able to spend it in one place.

As many Coloradans have heard, TABOR refunds are not always guaranteed, and the word was that there would not be a refund for this year. However, a recent audit showed a TABOR surplus of $300 million.

But don’t expect that big money check to come in the mail as single filers will receive checks in the amount of $20-$62. Joint filers will receive $40-$124 for 2025.
