Fort Morgan Fire Department extinguishes a grass fire at I-76 & Long Bridge

At approximately 1 pm on Tuesday, October 6^th, Fire crews from Fort Morgan were dispatched to a grass fire on the eastbound side of I-76 at MM 73 – between HWY 6 & Long Bridge Road. The right lane of the interstate was blocked, while the fire was hit with water from above the interstate as well as at the roadway. Another fire was also reported around the same time on I-76 at MM 77. Conditions remain dry across the region, so people should use caution.
