Fire crews from Sterling & Merino respond to residential fire in the Applewood Trailer Court

Sterling Fire Department - On Tuesday, March 24th, in the early evening hours, Station 1 and Sterling Cars were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the Applewood Trailer Court.
First arriving units found a porch and single wide trailer with heavy fire showing. Crews deployed multiple attack lines on both sides as another crew entered the rear to perform a search for a reported missing child. The child was confirmed to be out of the home shortly after.
Crews quickly knocked down the fire and focused on searching for a missing dog, which sadly perished in the fire. An injured party was treated and released on-scene. The cause is under investigation by SFD fire investigators.
Responding crews included the Sterling Fire Department, Merino Fire Department & the Sterling Police Department.
