A serious crash involving a semi-trailer and a black sedan shut down both directions of Highway 34 between County Roads 16 and 17, west of Fort Morgan, on Friday morning.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the Colorado State Patrol, and CDOT all responded to the wreck, which occurred before 9 am on the morning of September 11th.
Multiple trucks and semis, including a ‘WIDE LOAD’ semi-trailer carrying a wind turbine blade, had to wait out the closure while the crash investigation and the clean-up continued.
Highway 34 reopened in both directions at approximately 10:45 am, with traffic flow getting back to normal quickly. The extent of the injuries related to the crash is unknown, as no other details are available at this time.
