In a press release from Aurora, Nebraska, Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company has announced the sale of its Wray, Colorado, location to Western Cooperative Company, also known as WESTCO.

The Wray facility has been part of Aurora Cooperative’s network of agricultural service locations.

Aurora Cooperative CEO Chris Decker says the sale is part of the company’s effort to align its assets and services with local market needs, while making sure area producers continue to receive dependable agricultural support.

Decker says WESTCO understands the agronomic needs, cropping patterns and producer relationships in the Wray area, and is well positioned to continue serving local growers.

WESTCO assumed operations at the Wray location Sunday, September 14th.

WESTCO CEO David Briggs says the company is pleased to welcome the Wray location into its service area and is committed to providing local crop knowledge, service and the cooperative values producers rely on.

Aurora Cooperative and WESTCO say they will work together during the transition to help maintain continuity of service for customers, employees and community partners.

Aurora Cooperative also expressed appreciation to the Wray customers, employees and community members who have supported the facility.

The sale is part of Aurora Cooperative’s continued focus on its agricultural service network, while WESTCO expands its presence and takes over operations serving producers in the Wray area.
