Akron Gets a New School Ride

The Akron School District ordered a new activity bus in February of 2023. The new bus finally arrived after several production delays due to supply chain issues. Just before Christmas break, Superintendent Brian Christensen and Transportation Director Nancy Groom-Bullard made the trip to Denver to get the new bus. The new activity bus is a 77-passenger model with air conditioning. The new acquisition will allow one of the previous activity buses to be moved to a route and the oldest route bus to be retired.
