KRDZ Sports Update 10/30/23

Wray Football took down Wiggins in the final game of the regular season on Friday 35-21. Wray fell behind 21-12 early in the 3rd quarter before taking the lead going into the 4th quarter and getting an insurance score down the stretch to seal the win. Casey Midcap completed 7 of 11 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown in the win. Wray finishes the regular season with a 6-3 record, and will be the 7th seed in the state playoffs, hosting 10th seed Centauri in the first round on Saturday at 1pm.


Wray Volleyball fell 3-0 to Wiggins on Friday, losing 25-16 in the first 2 sets and 25-19 in the 3rd set. The girls finish the season with a 9-14 record, and will play in the regional tournament this weekend for the first time since 2018. The locations and times will be released later today.


The Cross Country state championships were on Saturday in Colorado Springs. Addi Jones finished in 45th place in the 2A girls race. Congratulations to Addi on a great season, being Wray's lone representative in the race.


The All-State teams for softball have been released. For Yuma County, Faith Ridnour was an All-State Honorable Mention. Congratulations to Faith for a great senior season.
