HAPPY 150TH BIRTHDAY TO COLORADO!

The great State of Colorado celebrates its 150th birthday on Saturday, August 1, 2026. United States President James Buchanan signed the Colorado Organic Act on February 28, 1861, which created the Colorado Territory. On August 1, 1876, President Ulysses S. Grant signed Proclamation 230, which admitted Colorado to the Union. Colorado is the 38th state to join the United States!
